Adelina Fernandez Planes, 92, passed away May 22, 2009 after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Leonardo Sebero Planes. She was a homemaker, who loved to cook and sew, and also worked in the Jesuit High School cafeteria for eighteen years. She is survived by her son, Leonard J. Planes and his wife Martha; grandson, Scott R. Planes and his wife Annette; step grandson Ryan Ballard, granddaughter, Melanie A. Planes; step granddaughters Denise McDaniel, Shanna Wright, great-granddaughter, Tiffani N. Planes, step great-granddaughters, Corrin Rosales, Paige Wright, Mia Ballard, Beka Wright, Julianne Ballard, Lily Ballard, step great-grandsons, Derek McDaniel, Josh McDaniel, one great-great granddaughter, Alana Rosales, as well as several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and God-daughter Kathryn L. Jerman. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 3012 W. Cherry Street, Tampa, FL at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2009 with graveside services immediately following at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL. Pallbearers will be: Scott R. Planes, Victor H. Lluis, Robert Lluis, John A. Fernandez, Rex Morgado, and Troy Cowell. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Tommy Planes and Ryan Ballard.
