Agnes Hattie-Jean "Jean" Stromsness, beloved mother, sister, aunt and cousin, passed away June 26, 2024 in Tampa, Florida.

A lifelong resident of Tampa, Jean was born in 1942 to Zera and Dorothy Stanley, who predeceased her. On August 16, 1962, Jean married the love of her life, Richard Eugene Stromsness. Jean and Richard were married for over 60 happy years, until his passing on March 13, 2023.

Jean leaves behind to cherish her memory her sister, Carleen Moye and husband, David; son, Jeffery; son, Randy and wife Alicia; niece, Carla Palmer and husband, David; grand-niece, Lillie Palmer and fiancé, Mason Harper; niece and caretaker, Diane Kimmel; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Growing up in "Stanleyville," the part of Tampa where multiple family members lived, Jean developed a deep love of and loyalty to her family, which endured throughout her life. Indeed, Jean and Richard could be counted on to be first to join in celebrations of happy times, as well as lending support and comfort during difficult times.

It is this legacy of Jean's commitment to family that we will strive to emulate. Her love for her family was first in her life, and although she is no longer with us physically, we take comfort in knowing that loving spirit will always be with us.
