Aleida Carrera, 57, of Tampa passed away October 12, 2015. Aleida had a heart of gold, was a best friend and mother to many, always took care of her family and friends,was a joker in her own right, loved to laugh and dance, was an excellent housekeeper and cook, and a prayer warrior. She is survived by the love of her life, Carlos Pizarro; mother, Carmen Maldonado Garcia; son, Elvin Ocasio; daughter, Suleida Carrera; brothers, Juan, Ricardo, Edwin, Jorge, Ramon and Nelson; sisters, Sonia, Emelia, Maria and Zaida; grandchildren, Nathaniel and Raziel; best friend, Rafael Santiago. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 17 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with a service beginning at 7:00 pm at MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N. Florida Ave., Tampa.
