Alfred T Ratliff, Sr. (1921-2014) ofTampa passed away October 19th. "Big Al" was an Army war veteran in WWII. He was a retired police officer from the City of Tampa Police Dept after 26 years and also worked with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office for 12 years, including serving as Bailiff for Hillsborough County Court. He was the last surviving Charter member of the Fraternal Order of Police #27 which began in 1955. He and his wife were among the founding members of the Spinning Wheels Square Dance Club. He was predeceased in death by the love his life, Isabelle. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Williams (Wayne); two sons, Al Jr. (Rae) and Jack (Gwen); seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and dear friend Marie White. A graveside service will take place 1PM Thursday October 23rd at Sunset Memory Gardens on Hwy 301 Thonotosassa, FL.
