Alice J. Gilbert, age 90, passed away this past Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Tampa, Florida. Alice was born on May 7, 1927 in Bloomsburg, PA and was the third of four sisters (Esther, Dorothy and Julia) born to Roy and Mildred Deitterick. Alice grew up helping her family work on the family farm. She moved to Florida in 1960 with her daughter Patricia. She held many different jobs during her lifetime, but loved gardening and traveling to the mission field to deliver clothing to needy children in third world countries on work and witness trips with her late husband Walter Gilbert. Alice is remembered as a generous, deliberate, productive, strong and loving woman. Alice leaves behind a son, Dale and his wife Charlene, a daughter, Patricia and her husband Luc, six grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. We will be celebrating her life on Thursday May 3, 2018. Viewing at 1pm and service at 2pm at MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 North Florida Ave Tampa, Fl 33612. Interment following at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, Fl. 33610.
