Ana M Leon, 82, of Tampa passed away September 24, 2021. She was born on November 13, 1938, in Santa Clara, Cuba. She came to the United States with her husband and children on August 5, 1971, and lived in Silver Spring, MD until February 1998, when she moved to Tampa, Fl. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Tampa.
She is survived by 3 of her children, Jorge Leon, Mabel Hedlund, and Cindy Culver; 17 grandchildren Angela, Michelle, Stephanie, Carolina, Natalie, Melissa, Jorge Anthony, Jesse, Nicole, Russell, Danielle, Victoria, Stephen, Zack, C.J., Jacob, and Isabella; 24 great-grandchildren, April, Alexis, Briana, Ava, Isaac, Julianna, David, Trey, Mariah, Robert, Lucy, Omar, Ryan, Jessalyn, Lucas, Caiden, Liam, Mila, Sophia, Noah, Emily, Melanie, Jade, August; 1 great-great granddaughter Aubrielle; two sisters Haide of Tampa, Sonia of Havana; one brother Marco of Miami.
She was preceded in death by her husband David Leon, her daughter Ana Maria Apodaca, her parents Haide Ruiz and Marco Martin, and her sister Margot Martin.
She is a loving, strong, kind, and generous person. Her happiness has always been genuine and reflected onto the people around her. Her time was spent surrounded by her loved ones. She is the backbone of our family and always will be. We are heartbroken, but we know she is at peace and away from the sin of the world and now dwells in the house of the Lord forever.
