August "Gus" J. Zilbauer, Jr., age 90, of Tampa, FL, formerly of Cheektowaga, NY, passed away on Sunday, July 07, 2013. Gus worked for over 25 years as an orthopedic shoes salesman at Kingston Shoes in Buffalo, NY. He and his wife retired to Florida. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Florence (nee Rybczynski); his son, David; his granddaughter Elizabeth; his sister Pearl Bogdan (late Alois); brother Leonard (late Agnes); sister Virginia Whitman (late Stephen); and stepsister Margaret Neumeister (late Andrew, Sr.). Gus is survived by his sons Michael A. Zilbauer (Debby) and Paul T. Zilbauer(Diane); grandchildren Glenn (Rachel), Carrie and Andrew; brother Joseph(Sarah); brother James (Sally); sister Gloriann Napora (late Richard); and nieces, and nephews. A viewing will take place in the Wake room at St. Paul Catholic Church, 12708 N. Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL from 9:30-10:20 AM Thursday, July 11, 2013. A funeral Mass will follow and be celebrated at 10:30 AM.
