Barbara Ann Swisher

Barbara received a warm welcome into heaven by her beautiful daughter Tracey on February 27, 2021. She passed peacefully with her husband, Walter, and daughter, Melissa holding her hands. Her son Walter Junior was able to spend time with her before she passed, which we are so thankful for.

Barbara was born at Will Rogers Field, Oklahoma City, to Eugene Milam Gambrell and Mary Wilson Ingram on February 10, 1945. The family relocated to Tampa just six weeks later. Barbara was fiercely protective of her three younger siblings, Robert Gambrell and his lovely wife Candace, Suegene Gambrell and Alan Gambrell.

Barbara loved her husband of fifty-five years, Walter Swisher. She was a loving mother to her three children and son in law Douglas Moore. But oh how she adored her grandchildren. Nicholas, Dylan and Elizabeth brought such happiness and delight to her life.

Although she experienced more heartache in her life than one person should endure, she always had grace and put the needs of others before her own. She leaves behind many loving family members and friends including Barbara Herrick, Pam Petersen, David and Joye Swisher, Eugene and Barbara Swisher, Robert Bermudez, Carol Day and nieces and nephews.
