Benjamin S. Sudano, Sr., 88 of Tampa passed away February 15, 2012. He was proud of being a WWII veteran but he never wanted thanks for himself. Ben wanted the thanks given to those who never returned. He didn't know how many lives he touched whether it was in music or his work with students and didn't realize what a good example he was. Ben is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and daughter, Gertrude. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Leah; sons, Benjamin, Jr. and Joseph; daughter, Cindy; granddaughter, Aja; great grandchildren, Kayla and Christopher; sisters-in-law, Sharon Bengelsdorf and Susan Robinson; brother-in-law, Israel Robinson; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 9:30 -10:30 AM Tuesday in the Wake Room at St. Paul Catholic Church followed by the celebration of the funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida with full military honors.
