Our dear mother, Bette I. Hegarty, 84, of Brooklyn, NY passed away on June 15, 2022.

She was predeceased by her husband Bernard L. Hegarty, brothers John Rose and Fred Rose, sister Mary Ossmann, her mother Harriet Rose, and father Fred Rose.

Bette was a graduate of Fontbonne High School in Brooklyn NY. She spent many years living in Bethlehem, PA, employed by First Valley Bank. After retiring to Florida, Bette remained active, working part time and volunteering. She was a life-long devout member of the Catholic Church and served as Eucharistic Minister. Bette especially enjoyed family vacations in Duck, North Carolina. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bette is survived by her sister, Joan Rose, and sisters in-law Terry Rose and Kathleen Stanton, and brother in-law Bill Stanton; her children Scott Hegarty and wife Melissa Hegarty, Thomas Hegarty, Noreen Decker and husband William Decker; grandchildren Cole Hegarty, Bernie Hegarty, Bridia Hegarty, Kaela Hegarty, Jay Hegarty, Morgan Daily and Billy Decker; and her great grandchildren Ariya Daily and Evelyn Daily.
