Betty Austin, age 83, passed away at her Tampa home on September 25, 2018 after a long illness. She was born November 2, 1934 in Rockbridge County, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Orville Austin. She was also preceded in death by infant daughter, Betty Ann,granddaughter, Nicole Webster, and two sisters: Mildred Aldredge of Brooksville Florida and Aline Harper of Buchanan Virginia. She is survived by three daughters: Sherry Hunsucker and husband Jim of Richmond Virginia, Dee Vallejo and husband John of Tampa, Tammy Johnson and husband Don of Tampa. She has five grandchildren: Jeremy Hunsucker, Jessica Hunsucker, Ashley Kuczynski, Joshua Webster and Rachel Vallejo. She had five great-grandchildren: Michaela Newton, Zahrah Hunsucker, Aziz Hunsucker, Maryam Hunsucker and Yunus Hunsucker. She is also survived by one brother, Gerald Austin of Lithia Virginia and one sister Laura Deacon of Roanoke Virginia, and many nieces and nephews.She and Orville were charter members of West Broad Street Baptist and served faithfully. She worked for Hillsborough County for 32 years.Visitation will be held Friday September 28, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N. Florida Ave.A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. A private family graveside service will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell Florida.
