Betty McAulay, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin, passed away August 28, 2024. She was preceded in death by Bobby, her husband of 55 years. Betty and Bobby married in 1955 and resided in Tampa their entire marriage. They loved traveling with the many friends they made over the years and shared great stories of those trips often. Betty also enjoyed sewing and baking, especially making amazing memory bears and beautiful wedding cakes.

In recent years, Betty enjoyed Sunday afternoon domino games with her daughters and friends, and she formed many friendships as a member of the Tampa Bay Dance Club.

In addition to her husband, Betty was also preceded in death by her parents, TC and Leona Sikes, her son, Ronny McAulay and her grandson, James Peacock.

She is survived by her three daughters, Debbie (John) Albrecht, Bonny McAulay and Rene Hatcher, one sister, Irma Peavey, eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Betty had a beautiful and contagious smile and became quick friends with many new people she met. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A service will be held at West Shore Baptist Church n Tuesday, September 3rd, at 1:00pm. The family will receive visitors an hour prior, from 12:00-1:00.
