IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beverly Anne
Kreitzinger
April 28, 1932 – October 20, 2023
Beverly Anne Kreitzinger passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, October 20, 2023. Bev, 91 years old, was born in Denver, Colorado to Alyce and Harold Martin and was raised with her parents and sister, Pricilla, in Sioux City, Iowa.
After graduation from East High School in Sioux City, Bev worked as a nurses aide at St Vincent Hospital and as an X-Ray technician. She then met the love of her life, James Donald Kreitzinger (d. 2008). They married on March 28, 1952 and were married for 55 years with 4 children; Leslie Kreitzinger, Gayle Kreitzinger (d. 2021), Kim (John) Allen and Todd (Julie) Kreitzinger.
Bev and Jim enjoyed going out with friends, dancing to Glenn Miller and watching movies together. They had their "Do Something Different" group, and they loved to travel. But nothing compared to the love that they shared with their family. Especially the love they had for their grand children;
Ryan, Maisey, Amelia, Hannah, and Kahle. And, their great grand children; Taitum, Grayling, Cobia, Ava and Alyvia. They were their pride and joy.
Bev was an excellent cook and was known to keep "the soup on" for anyone and all to drop by. The Kreitzinger house was an open home and Bev was always there to talk to when you needed a friend or some advice. She enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader and wrote beautifully, often
sending letters through the years. She was quite a story teller with good recall back in the day.
Bev kept many good friends, many of them from her youth, including Gordon Wilson of Tucson, Arizona.
Beverly loved her family, friends, life, God and her church..and Des Moines, Iowa.
She will be dearly missed. We love you Mom, Gramma, GiGi, Friend
Rest in Peace
