Bruce Kirby Chappell was born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina to Rufus Francis Chappell and Muriel Thomas. Bruce went home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2016 at the age of 60. His family moved to Tampa when he was three. He attended Leto High School. There he met his high school sweetheart, Michelle, and in 1974 they wed. This past September they celebrated 40 years of marriage. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Sharlene and Ricky, whom he loved with all his heart. He was a grandfather to two young girls who loved him with all their hearts. He was skillfully trained and worked as a master tradesman in custom cabinetry and wood working. He was an amazing man, caring husband, beloved father and grandfather, and devoted friend. He was quick to help anyone who needed it and was always good for a laugh. He loved boating with his family, playing pool with his friends, riding his motorcycle with his buddies, rescuing and taking care of all different kinds of animals. He especially loved Saturday mornings sitting on his recliner with his granddaughters, Ana Belle and Amelia Michelle on his lap, watching all their favorite shows. He was happiest when he was at church worshiping God with his wife, daughter & future son-in-law, son & daughter-in-law & grandkids all together. He loved the Lord with all his heart, soul, and might. He leaves behind a great legacy. A man of noble character. Bruce is survived by his wife, Michelle; daughter, Sharlene and Anthony Macaluso (fiancé); son, Ricky and Aidil; brothers, Joe, Frank and Karen; sister, Linora; In-laws, Col. Richard and Anita Chisholm; Sister-in-law, Trisha Tessendore; Brother-in-laws, Ken and Donna Chisholm, Dave and Martina Chisholm; Granddaughters, Ana Belle and Amelia Michelle; Nieces and Nephews: Matthew, Ian, Arron and Andrew Chappell, Robby, Jake, Blaine, Michael, David, and Luke Swails, Tara and Taylor Tessendore, Evan, Casey, and Damien Chilsholm, Tereza Trejharová. He joins his father, Rufus and mother Muriel in heaven.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Grace Family Church - Waters Campus (5100 West Waters Avenue Tampa, FL 33634). Anyone who wishes to pay their respects can do so beginning at 1 pm. Ceremony will begin at 1:30 pm. Reception to follow in the lobby.

Flowers can be delivered and dropped off at the church beginning Wednesday 9 am.
