Mr. Bruce Anthony Lambert, 66, of Tampa, Florida, entered into eternal life on August 22nd 2017. Bruce was born in Dade City, Florida, and grew up primarily in St. Petersburg, Florida. Bruce served in the Marine Corp for two years during the Vietnam War, and then finished his twenty-year military career in the United States Navy. He resided in Virginia Beach, Virginia during his Navy years, and retired with the rank of Chief.

Bruce received numerous awards and commendations throughout his career, and enjoyed many years of retirement in Virginia Beach relaxing and catching up on his reading about history, which was a lifelong passion.

In April of this year, Bruce learned that he had stage four-lung cancer, and that it was terminal. Arrangements were made to make it possible to transport Bruce to the home of Greg and Kathy Lambert, his brother and sister-in law. By God's grace, Bruce, although confined to his bed, lived three months longer than was predicted. He was an engaging, vibrant member of the household, bringing much reminiscing and laughter to the Lambert family right up to his last day on Earth.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Friday, September 1, 2017 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Tampa.
Full military honors will be presented at 1:00 pm Friday at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida by the United States Naval Honor Guard.
