Mrs. Carmela M. Allegretto Oliver, 90, went to heaven on Friday April 29, 2011. Carmela was born November 8, 1920 to Joseph and Mildred Allegretto in Elmira, NY. Her interests included family, cooking, reading, crossword puzzles and rooting on her NY Yankees. She devoted most of her time and energy as a caregiver to her family members. Carmela leaves behind her children Betty Oliver Evans, John R. Oliver Jr. (Virginia) and Wayne L. Oliver (Janice), Granddaughters Catherine M. Felice (Anthony), Carmela M. Bowe (James), Tammy M. Cortes (Edward), Amanda M. Tisch (Shawn), Shannon M. Romero (Adam) and Grandson Anthony L. Oliver. She also leaves behind 10 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great, Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband John R. Oliver Sr., Parents Joseph and Millie Allegretto, her sister Lucy Sassano and her brothers Guy and Rudy Allegretto.
Funeral service will take place 11AM Tuesday, May 3rd at the chapel of MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 North Florida Avenue, Tampa. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to the service.
