IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol Reckley
Osentoski
May 22, 1944 – November 30, 2022
Carol Reckley Osentoski passed away on November 30, 2022. She was born May 22, 1944, to Everett and Christine (Franklin) Reckley. Early in life Carol started waiting tables in the dining room at The Ramada Inn, where she worked her way up to lounge manager. Once moving to Georgia, she happened upon an opportunity that she couldn't pass up and she became the longtime owner of The Zoo Tavern, Lilburn, GA. She was the friend and mother to all that knew her. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone, as if they were family. In her spare time, Carol loved going to the beach, as well as riding her motorcycle. She enjoyed taking long road trips, and going on adventures with her husband, George. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Christine (Franklin) Reckley, sister and brother-in-law, Janet (Reckley) and Jerry Raynor, and son, Gary Pippin. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, George Osentoski, Lutz, FL: daughter, Sharon (Pippin) Polman, Loganville, GA; Terri Pippin, Loganville, GA; grandchildren, Lauren (Eli) Wells and their children, Jesseca (Colton) Jekot, Travis (Amber) McCaslin and their children, and Heather (Caleb) Brantley-Pippin, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including the Zoo Crew.
