Carolyn Mae (Lynn) Paul Pimm Horner, age 91, passed away peacefully Friday morning, January 26, 2018, at St. Joseph's John Knox Village in Tampa. Carolyn was born in Wilmington, North Carolina and was a long-time resident of Tampa. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Horner, whom she married in Morristown, Tennessee on August 11, 1990. Carolyn and Marvin loved to ballroom dance at various clubs in and around Morristown for many years, and she would happily tell you of her time dancing in Wilmington at the USO and The Lumina Pavilion during World War II. After she married in Morristown, she joined Marvin as a member of First Presbyterian Church. She returned to Tampa in June, 2011.
Carolyn was also preceded in death by her sister, Fay Paul Pena and her husband, John Pena.
Carolyn was a dedicated homemaker and raised her family in Tampa. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Tampa, and was a volunteer "Pink Lady" at University Community Hospital for many years. Carolyn was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children Kathy Pimm Littlejohn (Eric), Jan Pimm Casey (Jim), Sharon Pimm Muller (Bill), grandchildren Matt Littlejohn (Danielle), Kevin Casey (Danielle), Caitlyn Muller, Lindsey Muller and great-grandson Kolton Littlejohn.
She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) or the charitable organization of choice.
