In Loving Memory of Celia

It is with profound sorrow that I share the passing of my beloved wife of 41 years, Celia, on December 6, 2024, after a courageous battle with ALS. Celia was the love of my life, my best friend, and my soulmate. We grew up just two blocks apart, and she became the center of my world. Our 41st wedding anniversary on December 3rd and my birthday on December 4th were bittersweet reminders of the incredible bond we shared.

Celia worked for Electric Supply of Tampa for 45 years, where her dedication and precision saved the company countless dollars by always ensuring bills were paid correctly and on time. Beyond her professional excellence, Celia was a kind and gentle soul who selflessly gave to others.

She donated her hair to Locks of Love every three years to make wigs for cancer patients, gave blood when she could, and contributed over 900 hours of vacation time to coworkers in need. She eagerly supported workplace charity events and quietly lived a life of humility and generosity, always putting others before herself.

Celia's unwavering loyalty, kindness, and humility defined her. She never spoke ill of anyone, never raised her voice, and never sought recognition for her countless acts of love and service. Her actions came from the purest heart—the heart of an angel. Although Celia was saved as a child, her life reflected the goodness and grace of someone truly touched by God. She lived with a gentle strength that inspired all who knew her. She truly lived her faith.

Celia told me her last wishes were to be cremated. She wanted her ashes to be spread at our Sons 28 acre farm in Missouri so that "you will visit our Son once a year and get a vacation". AGAIN, always thinking of others first. In true Celia fashion, she then said, "and don't keep any of my ashes or I will come back and haunt you". Celia originally wanted a cèilidh (kay-lee) which is basically a Scottish party (our family is Scottish). But then she changed her mind and said that she didn't want a funeral. I am sure that this was just because she didn't want to inconvenience anyone.

I will honor her last wishes EXCEPT ONE! Celia's friends, coworkers and others that met her need to know what kind of a person she really was. She DESERVES to be known for her unselfish acts of incredible kindness to people she knew, and others lives she touched that she would never even meet. We are having a memorial service to honor her life for all who wish to come and say goodbye to this angel. There will be bagpipes, friends & family. Please come and celebrate her life with us.

Services will be held as follows

She may haunt me for this, and I hope she does so I can feel her near me once again. However, I think she will be there saying "thank you for caring about me, well done my love".

To my friends who have expressed your sympathy and supported us during this journey, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Celia loved you all deeply. Her loss leaves a void that can never be filled, but her legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will forever remain in our hearts.
