Dad, Brother, Grandfather, Clarence E. Springer passed away peacefully at Haley's Cove Hospice in the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital Tuesday morning, June 13th at the age of 74.

Born August 15th, 1948 in Wauchula, Florida, eventually moving to Tampa and residing in the area for most of his life.

Loving father to Chris and Greg. Brother to Russell, Joyce, Linda and Sharon. Son to Robert Springer and Bessie (Parker) Springer. Forever Grandpa Cheeto-man to Camden and Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

Clarence served proudly and honorably in the U.S. Navy Reserve as a communications technician from 1968-1970 with most of that time being on active duty on the USS Allagash.

He then spent several years with the US Postal Service both as a clerk and as a supervisor. The last 23 working years of his life he braved the roads as an over-the-road truck driver, traversing all 48 contiguous states and well over 3 million miles.

An avid sports and music enthusiast, Dad attended numerous concerts and sporting events. He was a devoted and loyal Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lightning, all things Florida Gators and Atlanta Braves fan.

Daddy gave his heart to Christ early in his life, and his faith only strengthened as he grew older.

He was a strong, fiercely independent man, who loved family and friends and would give the shirt off his back for anyone. We will miss him every day.

Clarence's Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 24th at 11am at the Quail Hollow Chapel - 8304 Quail Run Dr, Wesley Chapel, FL 33544.
