Clifford E. Crider, 73, formally of Memphis, In., departed this world on April 2, 2007 in Tampa, FL after a battle with cancer. Clifford was preceded in death by his brother William A. Crider and his sister Thelma (Crider) Orman. Clifford was an active member of the Nebraska Avenue Church of Christ in Tampa, FL, retired from the Louisville Cement/Essroc in June, 1984 with 32 years of service, helped start the Memphis Church of Christ in his home and preached for the congregation from 1964-1973, served in the Presidential Honor Guard under President Dwight D. Eisenhower and worked in the Pentagon while serving as a SP3 in the U.S. Army from December 1955 until his honorable (medical) discharge in December 1957. He is survived by one daughter, Lora Crider of Tampa, FL and former wife Paulette (Minton) Crider of Sellersburg, IN., siblings; Doris (Crider) Tibbs Johnson, of New Albany, IN, Albert Crider of Charleston, IN, Robert Crider of Louisville, KY, Marvin Crider of Charlestown, IN, Mrs. Robert White-Mary Ann (Crider) of Henryville, IN, Rosie (Crider) Carter of Jeffersonville, IN, Mrs. Charles Jones-Janet (Crider) of Chrlestown, IN.
