Darby Guzman, 35, was carried home to Jesus after fighting a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 12, 2010. She was tender, fiercely loyal, and greatly loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She finished her course with a life well-lived. Darby is survived by her adoring husband, Carlos Guzman; and her beloved sons, Caleb (5) and Seth (3); She was also a devoted daughter to E.L. and Jeanie Lawson of Lutz; and a sweet sister to Carrie Liddell of Brandon and Matthew Lawson, also of Lutz. Her grandmothers, nieces, nephew, aunts, uncle, cousins and close friends will severly feel her loss as well. Hundreds of others will miss her at Florida Orthopaedic Institute where she worked for 11 years and at Freedom Baptist Church where she worshipped her Lord. Her faith and strength will be an inspiration to us all until we meet again in the presence of God. Celebration services will be held at 11:30 Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Freedom Baptist Church, 8702 Franklin Rd, Plant City. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Private burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, send donations in memory of Darby to the American Cancer Society.
