Daun Evelyn Miller, 68, of Tampa, Florida, ascended to the worlds beyond Sunday, March 29, 2020, after losing her battle with cancer.
Born in Troy, Ohio, and growing up in New Carlisle, Ohio, Daun attended Wright State University and, after moving to Tampa, Florida in 1973, received her B.A. from the University of South Florida. She and Rick raised their two boys, Aaron and Nathan, now grown, and especially enjoyed traveling with her family and making friends with people of different cultures. She was a devoted member of the Baha'i Faith, the foundation of her spiritual journey through life. Daun and Rick moved to Jerusalem, Israel in 1996 to volunteer for the Baha'i World Center and serve as the Baha'i Representatives to the Israeli government until 1999. They moved back to Florida, where Daun published Children of the Kingdom: A Baha'i Approach to Spiritual Parenting.
Daun was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, as well as a writer, painter, world citizen, and radiant soul, who inspired countless people to live fully, help others, and love God. She will be deeply missed and will live forever in our hearts.
Daun is survived by her mother, Rosalee Bartlett; father, Donald Dick; sister, April Coppess; husband, Rick Miller; sons, Aaron and Nathan Miller; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Miller; and grandsons Henry and Samuel Miller.
