David T. Geary, of Crystal Beach, Florida who leaves family in Florida and Massachusetts died at the age of 37 on July 12 after a long battle with congenital heart disease.
David was born in Falmouth, MA on April 21, 1974, the son of Stephen J. Geary and Gail M. Gradel. He was raised on Cape Cod and attended schools there as well as in Lenox, MA. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Paul T. Geary in March, 2011.
David was well known for his artistic abilities, friendly demeanor and linguistic skills. His family and friends were a valued and integral part of his life. A third generation descendant of Irish immigrants, he was very proud of his Irish heritage as well as his Roman Catholic religion. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, reading, sketching and listening to his favorite music.
David leaves an extended family that includes his partner Gina Sassi, mother Gail Gradel and husband Larry, father Stephen Geary and wife Catherine, brothers Matthew Geary, Larry Gradel and Joseph Dayton, sisters Jessica Florence and Melissa Gradel, grandmothers Esmee' Goodwin and Lucille Gradel uncles Paul Geary, David Geary, Christopher Geary, Robert Rice and Leonard Gradel. aunts Rene' Roberge, Donna Rice, Martha Geary and Joan Geary, cousins Jean Paul Roberge, Jacqueline Roberge, Shaun Geary, Lindsay Geary, Brendan Walker,Ryan Walker, Caitlin Geary and Patrick Geary.
A memorial gathering in celebration of David's life is being held at St John the Evangelist Church Hall in Pocassett, Massachusetts this Friday, July 22ndfrom 4 to 6 PM. A memorial will be held in Pinellas County Florida in the near future.
