Mr. David Jonathan Grove Sr., 59, of Tampa celebrated his new life with Jesus on March 19, 2009. He was born in Baltimore Maryland and was the youngest child of seven of the late Pastor Eugene T and Eursilla Grove. David attended public schools and vocational education in Baltimore and Haerstown Maryland. David for most of his life worked as a construction worker and a professional roofer and wa good at doing his job. He went to New Orleans to help rebuild some of the homes. David loved his family. David was faced with many social challenges, he worked hard at trying to conquer any challenges. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Glenda Malloy and Eursilla Barnes; brothers, Eugene T. Grove, Jr. and Ian "Ronald" Grove. David leaves behind to mourn his death, son, David J. Grove, Jr. (wife Mae), daughters, Tessie Crawford (husband Dedrick) and Terrie Godfrey (husband Joell); brother, James A. Grove, Sr. (wife Katie); sister, Jeanne P. Wright; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, from 2-4 PM followed by a service at 4 PM at the chapel of MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N Florida Ave. In lieu of flowers, send memorial contributions to Beulah Baptist Church, 1006 W. Cypress St, Tampa, FL 33606 for Christian education
