Deborah ("Debbie") Parsons, 48 of Lutz, FL passed away November 11, 2012 after an incredible fight with breast cancer.
Debbie was born in Florida, but spent most of her teen years and 20's living in Alaska, where in 1987, she gave birth to her precious son Torrance who was the light of her life. However, being a beach girl at heart, she returned to the Sunshine State in 1995, where her professional life as a bookkeeper took off and many friendships were made.
She was easygoing, and as long as she was with family or friends, was up to doing anything – no matter what, she always cherished her time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed the outdoors and doing anything on the water in the sunshine. She enjoyed traveling and seeing and trying new things and meeting new people – though she was also perfectly content sipping wine on her porch with friends.
Debbie is survived by her son Torrance Parsons and daughter-in-law Andrea Marsico of North Carolina; her brother James Monroe, sister-in-law Lynn Monroe, and nephew Matthew Monroe of North Carolina; her mother Valda Tilley of Tampa, FL; her father James Monroe Sr of Pennsylvania; and many, many friends – too numerous to mention.
She truly was an amazing individual who will be remembered for her outgoing personality, strong independent spirit, and ability to light up a room with her smile. She had a caring heart and always wanted to do anything she could to help others. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her; but the happy memories that she shared with so many will always be in our hearts.
The service will be held in Lutz, FL at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 8th at First Baptist Church of Lutz with a celebration of life to follow directly afterward at Bobalouie's Grille.
