Dee Leonard Flynn, 91, of Tampa passed away April 8, 2013 after a long illness. He was born in North Carolina and was a World War II veteran who rose to a Regional Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms until he retired in 1983. Throughout his life, he was active in the Boy Scouts, the United Methodist Church, National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) and many other organizations. He was a man of his word. He was recognized as a disciplined individual whose decisions and actions reflected his personal qualities of firmness and fairness. Dee was predeceased by his son, Robert and survived by his wife of 71 years, Mary (May); two daughters, Louise (Tom) Henslee and Rebecca (John) DuBose; son, Ted (Debbie) Flynn; daughter-in-law, Linda Flynn; four grandsons, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at the Lake Magdalene United Methodist Church, 2902 W. Fletcher Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33618, on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 2:00 PM.
