IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Denise
Borgstede
July 27, 1957 – August 29, 2022
The family of Denise Borgstede(Coughlin) of St. Petersburg, FL. is saddened to announce her passing on August 29, 2022, at the age of 65. She is going to be remembered by her loving and devoted husband of 43 years Russell. Together these two fulfilled their dream of having a loving and close-knit family. Her home was the gathering spot for weekly family dinners, pool parties, game nights and always filled with laughter.
Denise was born and raised in New Jersey where she graduated from Mount St. Mary Academy. In her early years, she worked as a bookkeeper for Channel Home Center as fate would have it, this is where she met the love of her life, Russell. In 1987 she relocated to Ormond Beach, Fl., followed by a second move to St. Petersburg, Fl. in 1992. She then enjoyed working in several positions at Cox Lumber(Builders First Source).
Family was always the central focus for Denise, but she also enjoyed cruising as often as possible, camping, traveling to the Caribbean Islands, being a leader for her daughter's Girl Scout Troops, and being a proud band parent for the PPHS Blue Star Band. Denise also loved an occasional spin of a slot machine, and celebrating her Irish heritage.
Denise was predeceased by her parents Mildred and James Coughlin, and her brothers James and John Coughlin. She is survived by her husband Russell, her daughters Melissa (Jose) Ferrer, Kathy (Matt) Mills, and Patricia (Dennis) Homol, and her grandchildren Mateo and Serina Ferrer, Makayla and Christopher Mills, and James and Landon Homol. As well as her sister Maureen Coughlin, her sister-in-law Linda Coughlin and her niece and nephews Alexsandra, James and Michael Coughlin.
A private family celebration will be held. If you wish to donate in Denise's honor the family asks you to please think of Moffitt Cancer Research Center.
