Mrs. Denise G. Cantrell, 56, of Tampa passed away May 12, 2007. She was a longtime parishioner of Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, a graduate of U.S.F. and was presently teaching 1st Grade E.S.O.L. at Egypt Lake Elementary School. Denise was a lifelong sorority member of THETA. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Garcia; Denise is survived by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Modesto Garcia, Tampa; her loving husband of 36 years, Jimmy Cantrell, Tampa; daughters, Lauren Flanagan and Fiancé, Bob Gambino and Katherine Cantrell, Tampa; and a granddaughter, Haley Flanagan. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 16, 2007 from 6-9 PM at the chapel of MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 North Florida Avenue, Tampa (US 41 Bus.) with a Catholic Prayer Service at 7:30 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to LifePath Hospice, 12973 Telecom Parkway, Suite 100, Temple Terrace, FL 33637.
