The Man, the Myth, the Legend…Derek William Shaeffer, 47 passed away June 8, 2020 in Tampa, FL. He was born on May 16, 1973 at Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach, FL.

Derek leaves behind two children - Callista Jade Shaeffer and Tynan Louis Shaeffer,a grandson - Keenan Wylder Shaeffer, devoted best friend/partner - Roberto Quinones,parents - Debra/Tod Price and Clay/Tina Shaeffer, sisters and brothers-in-law - Danielle/Rob Pierson, Dana Shaeffer, Jennifer/Preston Jones, Lindsey Wolfe, brothers and sister/brother-in-law - David/Shelly Shaeffer and David/Todd Powell-Smith, special aunt - Cindie Gest-Arneson, and many special cousins, nieces, nephews, and very dear friends.

Derek was an extremely talented artist, electrician, and connoisseur of so many different things in his life. He loved the outdoors and the feeling of nature around him. Snow was one of his very favorite things from mother nature. He was an adventurer and found his happiness in the simple ways of life as much as possible.His untapped creative potential, lively spirit, and silly antics will be sorely missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

Derek was a dad, new grandpa, son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, partner, friend. He loved everyone whole heartedly and always meant well, even when life was very hard for him.

Rest in Peace sweet man, we love you and you are in our hearts for eternity. We will NEVER forget you.
