It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Domingo "Chico" Rodriguez Jr, 58, on September 10, 2020. Chico was born in Tampa, FL on October 5th, 1961. He was a father, brother, coach and friend. He died doing what he loved most protecting and caring for other people's wellbeing.

He is survived by his three loving children Suzanne Mitchell, Lucio Rodriguez, and Elizabeth Estevez; eight grandchildren; and his two siblings Jose Chacon and Debra Perez. He was preceded in death by both his parents Domingo Rodriguez and Edelmira Gonzalez.

Chico was a loving and caring person and to know him was to love him. His sense of humor anda welcoming smile could light up a room. His heart was always in the right place and he would give the shirt off his back to those in need.

Chico had a fierce love for family first, but next to family was baseball and law enforcement. Hewas a friend to many of those in blue and would always show them his utmost respect.

Baseball was a deep passion for Chico and coaching was his gift. He has helped many youngmen/women throughout his life perfect their baseball skills. He also maintained manyrelationships with several of the kids he has coached along the way. Chico was a man of God and was never afraid to meet "the man upstairs" as he would say.

Chico would want all those who knew him to know that he cared for you all deeply. He wouldn't want us to be sad for too long. Chico would want us to remember the awesome times he had here with us and to celebrate life everyday, just as he did.
