Donald Robert Bowen, 63, of Holiday, Fla passed away Friday morning from Leukemia. Don never complained about his disease or from the disability he suffered as a result of a stroke. When asked how he was doing he always responded "good". He loved his wife Nancy and all of his family members. He was especially fond of his dog Gidget and his pet fish and his cat Onyx. Donald will be missed by all who loved him. Survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Nancy; sons, Daniel Shults & wife Lori, and Michael Bowen; daughters, Mary Harris & husband Ramon, Linda Hafen & husband John, Kathleen Murphy & husband David, Elizabeth Shults and Jacqueline Bowen-Minnick & husband Randy; brothers, Larry Wentland & wife Peggy and David Wentland; sisters, Mary Ellen Wentland, Patty Normant & husband Andy, Donna Kohl and Judy Hutton; 21 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved pets, Gidget and Onyx. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Ozona-Palm Harbor, 610 Pennsylvania Ave, Ozona. Interment will follow at Lake Carroll Cemetery. The family receive friends Tuesday one-hour prior tot the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Hernando-Pasco Hospice.
