Doris Elaine Boyd "Dorie", 64, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, from cardiac arrest at Florida Hospital.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 46 years, William Michael Boyd "Mike", her son Michael Boyd, daughter and best friend Paula "Micki" Boyd-Gill, son-in-law (son) Donnie Gill spouse of Micki, son Jeffrey Boyd, daughter Tiffany Boyd and her adopted children - grandson Michael "Mikee" Boyd and grand-daughter Emely Boyd.As well as her beloved two and four legged children her bird Rusty, cat Billie and pups Missie and Chloe.
Dorie, a true angel that walked this earth, lived out her childhood dream of being a wife, homemaker and stay at home mom her entire adult life. Her passions were purses, shoe figurines, bowling, shopping, owls, giraffes, spending time with her children and spending time with her husband, Mike, in his retirement.Dorie was a very humble, talented, beautiful woman, inside and out, although she never saw the beauty and worth in herself that everyone else did. She was a spit-fire who loved her family and wouldn't hesitate to go to battle to defend them. She was a fighter who never gave up, she always made you laugh, saw the best in everyone and always believed things happen for a reason and according to Gods plan. She was someone you could always turn to good or bad and she would never judge you or look down on you, she would simply offer love, support and advice, if needed. She was the epitome of what a mother, wife and person should be, she touched many lives and will live on, in our hearts and memories for eternity. She would want to be remembered for being an amazing wife, a loving, caring, nurturing and all around awesome mother who loved her children unconditionally and her faith in God.
Dorie is preceded in death by her mother Pauline Hollenbeck who passed away July 7, 2008 and her father Claude Hollenbeck who passed away November 25, 1963.
