IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dorothy
Berry
April 26, 1933 – December 12, 2022
Dorothy was born on April 26, 1933 in Mt Hope, New Jersey to Nick and Julia Turko. After her marriage to her Husband Lewis, she made her home in Stanhope where she started her family and continued raising her children in Wharton before spending the majority of her life residing in Rockaway Borough before moving to Tampa Florida in 2018. She dedicated her life to being a Homemaker and was deeply rooted in her faith. She loved doing Arts & Crafts, crossword puzzles, taking long car rides to explore new places and adventures and really enjoyed listening to the music of Elvis Presley and The Beatles. She was always the first to suggest taking her youngest daughters to a Concert to see their favorite Rock Bands so that they didn't miss out on the experience and had fun on all the rides with them at various Amusement Parks. She always felt comfortable starting a conversation with every new person she met and liked getting to learn about them, their families and even their pets. She always walked around with a smile on her face and said a kind message to everyone she would encounter. Even though the last several years had been rough on her as she faced some health emergencies, she never complained and dealt with each situation with courage and determination. She was a beautiful person who had alot of compassion. She was loved and cherished.
She was predeceased by her Husband Lewis Sr (2006) Daughters Cathy(1966) and Carol(2014) and her Son Lewis Jr(2018) and her Brothers Mike Turko, George Turko and John Turko.
She is survived by her Daughters Dottie Sattely of Jacksonville FL, Barbara Mawhir of Tampa FL, Julie Owens of Elmira NY and Joanne and Arleen Berry of Tampa FL, 5 Grandsons, 5 Granddaughters, 2 Great Grandsons, 3 Great Granddaughters, her Brother Steve Turko of San Diego CA and her Sister Annie Carper of Rockaway NJ, numerous Nieces and Nephews as well as her Friends. She will be missed and fondly remembered for Forever and Always.
To You From Us:
On the day that you left this Earth and started your climb up the stairs to Heaven
We hope that you took a moment to turn around and looked down to see how much we mourn your loss.
Every time that the Sun shines, we will think of it as you smiling and surrounding us with your warmth and love.
When the Rain pours down, We will know that you are shedding tears because You miss Us too.
With every sound that the Wind makes, We will listen for you voice.
May You soar high above now and take your place among the Clouds in the Blue sky.
May Your Star shine very bright at night so We will always know where to find You.
