Dorothy S. Hefley, 92, passed away Sunday July 2 at the Nursing Center at University Village. Mrs. Hefley was born in St. Louis, Mo. and relocated to Tampa in 1958. She was a devout Catholic and was known for her kind, gentle ways and happy demeanor. Preceded in death by her husband, James E.; survivors include son, Gerald L. Hefley, PhD. And his wife, Lynnette; daughter, Kathryn E. Wynn and her husband, Wayne; sister, Marion Gauthier; brothers, Robert Stelfox, Edward Stelfox and John Stelfox; 7 Grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren; and numerous Nieces and Nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, 17512 Lakeshore Road (off Van Dyke) in Lutz, FL on Monday, July 17, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive guests after the service at St. Timothy's Parrish Center. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested friends make contributions in the name of Dorothy S. Hefley to H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, Tampa, FL.
