Dorothy M. Phillips, 83 of Tampa, passed away Monday, September 9th after a short illness. She was born in Brooklyn, NY., worked for NBC, New York in the 1950's. While living in New York, she studied art and continued to challenge her talent. She married and moved to Tampa in 1959, where she was a homemaker, raised her family, and later worked in clothing retail. Dorothy was a longtime member of St John's Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Edward A. Phillips. Dorothy is survived by her children, Ellen A. Phillips, andCarter E. Phillips, Tampa; 3 grandchildren, Michael Phillips, Katherine Lomelino and Matthew Phillips, Tampa FL. A graveside service will take place 10 AM Monday, Sept 16th at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, Tampa with the family visiting with friends 30 minutes prior.
