Dorothy Forsythe Remington, age 85, passed away on March 28, 2021, in Tampa, Florida. She was born in Hartford, Connecticut on September 14, 1935 to William Francis Forsythe, Sr. and Eleanor Coates Forsythe. She attended Atlantic Union College in Massachusetts and graduated in 1959 with a degree in Home Economics. She taught for three years in Modesto, California. She married Bruce Remington, a former college classmate, in 1962. After living in upstate New York for a couple of years, they moved to Florida, where they both taught elementary students for several years.

Dorothy was passionate about music. She was an organist at Tampa First Seventh-day Adventist Church for decades. Dorothy often played the organ or piano for church services, graduations, weddings, vocal solos, and choirs.

Dorothy will be remembered for her infectious laugh, and her compassion towards others.

Dorothy was predeceased by her brother Bill Forsythe, Jr. in 2003, and her husband Bruce in 2005. She is survived by her two sisters, Joyce Connolly and Christine (James) Casson, as well as nephews, a niece, cousins, and a host of longtime friends.

Her final resting place will be in in Storrs, Connecticut.
