Edwin Francis Levin, 91, peacefully passed away at home on December 16, 2015 in Tampa. He was born in New York City and lived in Tampa since 1965.Captain Edwin F. Levin (ret.) flew 28 combat missions as a World War II B-17 Navigator and received the Air Force's Air Medal. Ed is predeceased by Getrude, his loving wife of 66 years. Ed worked for the Celotex Corporation for over 30 years. He was an avid pilot, tennis player and golfer. Ed will always be remembered for his humor, loyalty and compassion. He is survived by his son, Thomas and wife, Patricia; daughter, Kathleen Liffiton and husband, Donald; grandchildren, Joseph, Brett, Christopher, Max and Brittany; and great grandsons, Zachary and Nathan. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM at MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N. Florida Ave., Tampa with a prayer service beginning at 7 PM. Funeral service with full military honors will take place at 1 PM Tuesday at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fl.
