RAY, Elizabeth"Betsy"Roper, of Temple Terrace, passed away on January 15, 2020. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 25 at the Temple Terrace church of Christ, where she had been a member for more than 20 years.There will be visitation beginning at 10 am, with the service to follow at 11 am. Mrs. Ray was born in Alabama to Richard and Jean Roper. She graduated from Hueytown High School and went on to attend Florida College in Temple Terrace.

Mrs. Ray ispreceded in death by her husband of 52 years, John; Mrs. Ray is survived by her brothersBarney, Bill, David and Dan Roper;daughters, Ellen Ray North (Mark) & Margaret Ray Hammontree (Joe); and sons, John (Freddie), Will (Amanda), and David; grandchildren, Richard, Matt, David & Maggie North; Corey Homberg, Jack & Charlie Ray; William (Emma) Hammontree, Elizabeth Romine (Brock) & Meredith Hammontree; Sean, Morgan, Lilly & Aaron Ray; and one great-granddaughter, Elsie Hammontree.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and constant friend. Most of all, she was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ. Thefamily suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Florida College,119 N Glen Arven Avenue, Temple Terrace, FL 33617.
