Ms. Ellen Mae Smith was a resident of Riverside, California for more than 25 years. Prior to living in California she resided in both New York and Florida. She received her education in New York State. For the past year she lived in Tampa, Florida. While residing in California she attended Faith Temple Church in Riverside, California. She passed away on February 26, 2015 in Tampa, FL. Ms. Smith is preceded in death by her mother, Essie Mae Calhoun, father Andrew J. Smith, daughter Barbara Smith, granddaughter Lisa Smith, and first cousin and caregiver Evelyn M. Jones. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted son, Joseph Smith; cousin and caregiver Richard Clark (California) and LaDawn Robinson (for the last year in Tampa). She will be missed by a host of cousins and friends, notably her cousin Laverne Clark Nichols and family of Riverside California. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 PM Thursday at the chapel of MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N. Florida Ave, Tampa. Burial to follow. The family will visit with friends 1 hour prior to service.
