Eva Toca Mercedes It is with great sadness that the family of Eva Toca Mercedes announces her passing on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at the age of 101 years. She was born in 1914, and helped her parents on their farm in Maine while attending Jay High School where she was a medal winning shot putter. Eva passed away peacefully at her home in Tampa Florida and was predeceased by her father, Justo Toca, mother, Elisa Toca, sisters, Roberta Nelson, Rose Fogg and brother, Theodore. She will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband of 66 years, Manuel, her devoted son, John, and wife, Tammi, younger sister Johanna Dale, nieces, Lita Atkinson, Colleen Peace,  Maureen Fogg, Bonnie Nelson, and caring in-laws, Steven Peace, Jim Atkinson, Jim Basile, Sheila Basile, Brittany Basile, Ann Auton, Tommy Auton, Alex Auton, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her.Eva touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Interment will be at  Florida National Cemetary-Bushnell, FL. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Eva to LifePath Hospice.
