Florence "Virginia" Kaegi, 85, of Tampa, FL passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014. She moved to Tampa in 1997 coming from New York. In her earlier years, she was a member of the Polish Girl Scouts, attended Baruch City College of New York, and worked for the New York Militia. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Tampa, Senior Citizens Club "SPARS", and was a homemaker as well. She was married to her loving husband for 43 years before his passing, Clifford Kaegi and they raised five beautiful daughter. She is survived by her children, Danielle Rudaitis from Tampa Florida, Alison Kaegi from Vero Beach, Florida, Denise Byers from Rutland, Vermont, and Karen Kushner from Buffalo, New York.Her grandchildren include Elena and Joshua Rudaitis, Thomas and Patricia Retaleato, Suzanna, Marie, Matthew, and Daniel Kushner, and Clifford Kaegi-Rydberg.She is also survived by her son in-laws with whom she maintained a relationship with.They included Kenneth Rudaitis, Roy Retaleato, and Richard Byers.She was preceeded in death by other close family members which include her husband Clifford Kaegi, her daughter Corinne Kaegi, and her son in-law Kenneth Kushner. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Paul Catholic Church. Interment will take place in Calverton National Cemetery, New York.
