With the many hats she wore during her lifetime, her family knew she always preferred a babushka instead of a hat in cold Chicago winters. She touched many lives with her smile, laughter and devotion to her family. Holidays, family gatherings and an occasional polka were held dear to her heart. She was a loyal and devoted parishioner, eucharistic minister and church volunteer baking and crocheting numerous baby blankets, scarves, sweaters and afghans not only for family but for church bazaars at Saint Francis Xavier Church and St Pascal Church in Chicago. Anyone who had the privilege of partaking in her soups, kolaczkior pierogi knew they had experienced a little bit of Poland. She spent the first 88 years of her life living in the Great City of Chicago and the last 4 years relaxing with wine by the pool and enjoying the birds, palm trees and warm weather of Florida. She will remain in our hearts forever and our memories of her legacy will live on for eternity.
