Frances Margaret Valdez (La China), 81, passed away April 3rd into the hands of our Father with great courage after a long illness. Preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Severina Torres; brothers, Manuel, Sr., Julian and Luis. Survived by son, Lee Garcia, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Debbie; grandsons, Lee Garcia, Jr. and Doyle Alexander Rogers; sister-in-law, Rose Torres; nieces, Sonia La Fe' and Helen Gaudin; nephews, Robert and Anthony Torres; 24 great nieces and nephews; and best friend, Onida Cothran. She worked for Holsum-Wonder Bread Co. and Wal-Mart. Her great love was dancing and she had a wonderful sense of humor. She sat on the board of directors of Centro Espanol de Tampa. She was a great comfort to those who knew her in their time of need. Frances is now at peace with her Angel's.
