Obituary

Frank John Walter, 78, went to be with the Lord November 21, 2010, with his loving family at his side. He was born in Granton, Wisconsin on May 17th, 1932 and moved to Tampa, Florida in 1971. He was a long time member of East Thonotosassa Baptist Church. He is survived by his devoted family who respected and honored him: his wife Helen Couch, sister Anne Fojt, sons Randolph Walter, Scott Walter (Helena), Jesse, Walter (Lori), David Couch (Lisa), and James Brown; daughter Debra (Larry) Woods; Grandchildren: Clay Couch, Jeremy Woods, Jacqueline Walter, Mackenzie Walter, Joel Walter, Zachary Cooper, Cassandra Walter, Kristen Cooper, Krysta Walter, and Madisen Walter; and nieces Janet Wagner and Diane Fojt. Family was a very important part of Frank's life. He is also survived by many longtime friends from the Pampered Campers RV Club and very true friend Richard Jones who made life better.He was a farmer until he moved to Tampa to work in construction.He soon became a self-taught carpenter and worked on many of Tampa's landmarks to include the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa International Airport and many others.Frank's proudest achievements were all the kids he raised, no matter whose kids they were. A memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday, November 27, 2010 at MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N. Florida Avenue, Tampa, followed by a celebration of life reception at the funeral home . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East Thonotosassa Baptist Church, 12735 Knights Griffin Rd, Thonotosassa, FL 33592-3842.
