Frederick Grady Behrnes, Jr. died peacefully on January 8, 2024 in Palm Harbor, FL at the age of 93. Grady was born on December 18, 1930 in Baton Rouge, LA to Frederick Grady Behrnes, Sr. and Lillian Carver Behrnes.

He graduated from Istrouma High School. He married Ruth Evelyn Bowman in 1950. Grady served in the Marine Corps and Air Force during the Korean Conflict. The couple welcomed three daughters into their home: Valerie, Vickie, and (Velda) Kaye. His children remember him as a kind, gentle and loving father and husband who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

Grady pursued a variety of job opportunities and was always up for a new challenge. He was an optimistic individual who loved fishing and who was very passionate about it. He was an active and dedicated member of the Church of the Nazarene. Grady is survived by his three children, Valerie Coryell (Neal) of Tampa, Fl., Vickie Robinson (Lee) of Memphis, TN., and (Velda) Kaye Craig (Martin) of Parker, CO., 9 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
