Gary Lavern Owens,79, of Tampa, FL went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday September 26, 2021.

Gary was predeceased by his parents, William John Tampa and Minnie Irene Owens, his wife Marge Owens, brothers Howard Owens, Charles "Doc" Owens and sister Nancy Frechette. He is survived by, his sons, Brian Owens (Fran), Brent Owens (Liz) and daughter, Jennifer Lovett (Rich) and several grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Irene Nace and Bobby Hagler as well as brothers, Roy Owens and Lamar "Butch" Owens and several nieces and nephews.

Gary was an active member of Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Masonic Lodge of Temple Terrace. The Celebration of Life for Gary will be held at 11am, Saturday October 23, 2021, at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 304 Druid Hills Road, Temple Terrace, FL 33617 with Pastor Eric Friedrichs officiating.

A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall of the church after the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church or to AnglingforRelief.org, a group that takes pediatric cancer patients fishing.
