Gary Lee Stephens, 75, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Florida Hospital in Tampa, Florida, of a massive heart attack. He was born October 20, 1942 to Elmer and Evelyn Stephens in Jeanette, PA. , was raised in Tampa, FL from age 13.

Gary was a great man. He loved his family very much and loved spending time with them. He loved fishing and working on cars and boats. Was a printer most of his life. And he loved to barbeque. He loved life and making people smile and laugh. Always ready to lend a helping hand and expected nothing in return. He was the strongest and most inspiring man we knew.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife Gayle; his 3 sons, Jerry Stephens of Pottstown, PA, Richard Stephens of Wesley Chapel, FL, and William Stephens of Clearwater, FL; his 2 daughters, Shannon and Katie Stephens of Tampa, FL; 5 grandchildren Gloria, Maria, and Savannah, Gabriel, Justin; brother Dennis and wife Jacquelyn Stephens of Tampa, FL, his nephew Chris Stephens, and a host of other relatives and friends. Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.

A private viewing for family will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home at 10520 N. Florida Ave, Tampa, FL.
