Gennar DeSantis, Born in 1931 in Pennsylvania, passed away June 26th in Tampa. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Vida, daughter Paula (Michael), son Gary a Doctoral candidate at FSU, brothers Victor (Angie), Frank (Patsy), numerous nieces and nephews. He served in the Navy on the USS Frybarger and left as an ET2. A Penn State BSEE grad, employed by Westinghouse Electric, developing specialized electrical test equipment. A P.E. that rose to Fellow Engineer. He transferred to Tampa to supervise the airport shuttle cars, retiring 8 years later. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 PM at MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N. Florida Ave. Tampa. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Tuesday at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church followed by interment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
