Mr. George A. Elliston, 78, of Tampa, passed away Thursday May 17, 2007. George was a longtime resident of Tampa; he attended Gorrie Elementary, Wilson Jr. High, H.B. Plant High and University of Tampa. He was an extremely active member at Palma Ceia United Methodist Church and with the church choir for 42 years. He enjoyed traveling, Bridge Club, Kouple's Klub, shooting pool and anything that was fun. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Doris Miller Elliston; stepson, Robert Dorey & his wife Sandi, of Tampa; daughters, Elaine Elliston Tomasovic and her husband Jerry of Tampa, Phyllis Davis and her husband Larry of Waycross, GA.; son, Davis Elliston of Waycross, GA; grandchildren, Ryan Dorey and his wife Danielle, Jessica Ann Dorey, all of Tampa, Lara Davis and Kelly Davis both of Waycross. A memorial service celebrating his life will take place at 10:30 AM Saturday May 26, 2007 at Palma Ceia United Methodist Church with Dr. Kevin M. James, Sr., Pastorofficiating and eulogy by Dr. R. Earle Rabb, Pastor Emeritus. Following the service all are invited to the church fellowship hall for a reception.
